Tumuga Hunting Safaris
Trophy Care and Taxidermist:
Tumuga Hunting Safaris contributes to the quality of your mounted trophies by ensuring professional field preparation and the skinning of trophies by trained and professional skinners. Our taxidermist will dip, mount and ship trophies to their final destination at the cost of the client.
You can choose between a variety of mounts, including a full mount, shoulder mount, pedestal mount and European mount. The skin can be prepared as a flat skin, back skin or just the tail. A trip to the taxidermy in Polokwane can be arranged, depending on the availability of time.
Your taxidermist work can be done either in South Africa or at your preferred taxidermy in the USA. All our taxidermist work is done by Safari Taxidermy, which we have been using for more than twenty years. They will do the mounting and dipping of your trophies (click on 'Mounting Price List' or 'Dipping Price List' below to view the prices) and it will be send to you or your taxidermy in the USA for mounting. Visit www.safaritaxidermy.co.za for more pictures of their work.
It is important to decide more or less what type of mounts you would like to have made. Utilize your trophy room or exhibiting space carefully before your departure and decide on the direction that the mounted trophies must face (eg. the animal must face slightly right, straight ahead, etc.).
